Hurricane Sandy Photos

Here are some photos of downed trees from Hurricane Sandy. Several of these locations have been identified by the Department of Public Works as priorities for NSTAR's action to remove hazards on the wires as the roads are blocked by wires and impacting public safety. HCAM News hoped to catch the DPW and NSTAR crews at work, but wasn't able to cross paths before the heavy rain this afternoon. We did see a police cruiser and DPW trucks enroute to the Pond Street area, but the road was not passable without driving all the way around. According to Town Manager Norman Khumalo, the goal is to have all downed trees removed as quickly as possible.
