The Youth & Family Services Director, under the direction of the Town Manager, will advocate for the
development needs of Hopkinton Youth and their families by analyzing, planning, coordinating, promoting
and supporting programs that foster positive youth development and healthy family life. Exciting and
challenging opportunity to work with a number of stakeholders including the Youth Commission, the schools,
social services, and other civic agencies to plan, organize and direct youth programs and evaluate the
effectiveness of program and needs of the community and develop short-term and long-term program needs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must meet the following to be considered qualified for this position:
Education, Training and Experience
Equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field and Five to Seven (5 - 7) years
of progressively responsible professional and administrative experience in the field of youth services with
Two (2+) years of clinical experience. Master’s degree is Preferred.
Required Licensing/Certification: Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health
Counselor (LMHC). Possession of a valid Massachusetts Driver's license, CPR, AED and first aid.
Flexibility in scheduling as some events are in the evening and on weekends; ability to work in a fast-paced
environment & achieve goals related to youth services in a community environment; relationship
management skills and experience in fostering a team approach to youth development; creating
collaboration among partner organizations in youth development; and ability to provide confidential
counseling and crisis intervention services; recruit, assign train and supervise contracted instructors; prepare
and maintain operating department budget; maintain accurate records of revenues and performance metrics
and maintain complex records and confidentiality with an understanding of the HIPAA laws.
Hiring Salary Range: $75,732 - $98,446; Full Range to $106,017, depending on qualifications.
