On February 11th, a Special Town Meeting will take place at Hopkinton Middle School starting at 7pm. Residents are encouraged to attend and vote on the six articles. In the video below, Selectmen discuss the articles on the warrant. Selectmen also welcomed Hopkinton's new K9 Officer, Titan.
The Articles for the Special Town Meeting include:
Article 1 - Unpaid Bills from Previous Fiscal Years,
Article 2 - Supplemental Appropriation for Repair of Lake Maspenock Dam,
Article 3 - Supplemental Appropriation for Fire Communication System,
Article 4 - Approval of Tex Increment Financing Agreement Lykan Bioscience, LLC.,
Article 5 - School Department Mitigation Fund,
Article 6 - School Department Stabilization Fund.
Article 2 asks for $140,000 more dollars for Dam Repair, $110,000 have already been approved. Article 3 is seeking $57,750 more for a Fire Communication system. View more about Article 4: Lykan Bioscience, LLC. here!
The Board of Selectmen unanimously approved Articles 1 through 4 and recommended no approval on Article 5 and 6. Articles 5 and 6 are expected to be pushed to the Annual Town Meeting in May.
