First Lego League in Action in Hopkinton
Have you ever heard of First Lego League? The best way to describe it is to say that it is a robotics program for 9 to 14 year olds. It was brought to Hopkinton last year by Hopkinton resident and parent Amanda Fargiano who says her children are getting a lot out of the program.
On Saturday, November 3 at the Middle School, six teams from Hopkinton participated in a friendly scrimmage to prepare them for their upcoming competitioin tournaments. In addition to robot games trials, there were also technical reviews and programming in the cafeteria and team challenges in the lecture hall.
Fargiano's son Timothy and his team, "The Dream Team", participated in the scrimmage. All of the boys are students at Hopkins School and all of them enjoy First Lego League.
Watch the HCAM News video to hear what the boys have to say about what they enjoy most about the program, and to learn more about the three parts to each challenge.
