Selectmen Want Further Cuts in FY2014 Budget
As presented at the February 26 Board of Selectmen's meeting, the first draft of the Fiscal Year 2014 budget proposed a total tax impact of 3.25%. A second draft of the budget presented a week later reduced the tax impact to approximately 2.4%, but selectmen again asked for further cuts on both the town and the school side.
Watch the HCAM News video to hear comments from the board.
The selectmen will meet again this week on Tuesday, March 12 at 6PM to consider voting to move the FY2014 budget to the Appropriations Committee by the March 15 deadline imposed by the Town Charter.
