Portraits of Dementia: The Day After Yesterday is a powerful collection of portraits and personal stories from artist Joe Wallace that destigmatizes dementia and humanizes the millions of people living with the disease. It deftly combines narrative and portraiture, breaking the taboo around dementia, replacing the fear, futility, and despair that are so often associated with the disease with empathy, nuance, and complexity.

Week 2 of the Hopkinton Hillers Fall 23-24 season featured many impressive wins!

Hiller Girls Soccer took a big win versus Medfield to stay undefeated, Boys Soccer stayed undefeated with win over Holliston, Girls Volleyball also captured a tough win vs Holliston, Field Hockey defeated North Attleborough and Football defeated Algonquin!

We have recently launched a big event series called One Book/One Hopkinton, a community-wide read that centers around Anne Tyler's book, Digging to America. It runs through November 17, and community members can participate by checking out a copy of the book (available here at the Library), attending one of our programs, and/or discussing the book's themes with family and friends. In a town that welcomes and engages with all, we hope that it sparks discussions about who we are as a community, and who we want to be as individuals.

A big crowd was on hand for the 48th annual Polyarts Festival at the Hopkinton Town Common. In the segment below, view scenes of the fun plus our conversations with a few of the vendor participants and organizers of the annual event.

In a VERY busy first week of the fall season, Hiller Girls Soccer hosted Ashland and Brookline and were on the road vs Norwood. Hiller Boys Soccer had their home opener vs Norwood after starting off the season with a road-win in Ashland and Girls Volleyball looked to grab their 2nd win versus Norwood.
