Watch Now: Hopkinton Hillers Boys Lacrosse Update June 6th 2023

Hopkinton Hillers Boys Lacrosse went into the D2 State Tournament with the 29th seed and headed to 4th seeded Longmeadow in the round of 32. Longmeadow took the win by a final of 17 to 5. Hillers finish the season with a record of 10 wins and 9 losses, congratulations to Head Coach Dan Norton and the Hillers on a terrific season.

On March 22, 2023, The American Library Association (ALA) released data that showed there had been 1,269 demands to censor library books in 2022. That is the highest number of recorded demands for removal since ALA began compiling data about censorship over 20 years ago.

2,571 unique titles were targeted, a 38% increase from the 1,858 unique titles targeted in 2021. Perhaps not surprisingly, of those titles, the vast majority were written by or about people of color and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Hillers took the win in their senior day game versus Westwood by a final of 11 to 3. The Hillers ended their season with a loss on the road to Newton North and fell just short of making the playoffs. The Hiller season comes to an end with a record of 8 and 10... Congratulations on a terrific season to Hiller softball.

Watch Now: Hopkinton Hillers Girls Lacrosse Celebrates Senior Night and wraps up season

Featured in the highlights below, on Monday, May 22nd Hiller Girls Lacrosse celebrated Senior Night before taking on Ashland. The teams went back and forth in the 1st half. It was a 7-6 Hiller lead heading into the 2nd half.

Ashland ended up taking the very well fought out game by a final of 12 to 10. The Hiller Girls ended up finishing the season with 6 wins and 12 losses.
