Hopkinton Public Library: One Book/One Hopkinton Event Series

One Book/One Hopkinton is a community-wide read which centers around Anne Tyler's book Digging to America. In a town that welcomes and engages with all, we hope that it sparks discussions in Hopkinton about who we are as a community, and who we want to be as individuals. There are many ways that Hopkinton residents can participate, including checking out the book, attending a book discussion or one of the many spectacular programs we have scheduled over the next three months, or discussing the book's themes with family and friends.

Hopkinton Fire to Receive Assistance to Firefighters Grant Funding from Federal Emergency Management Agency

Interim Chief Gary Daugherty is pleased to announce that the Hopkinton Fire Department will purchase new equipment after receiving funding from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The $921,943 grant was awarded jointly earlier this month to the Hopkinton, Ashland and Southborough Fire Departments. With town matches, the departments will share $1,014,138.

In the latest episode, Sidhi catches up with Hopkinton Town Clerk, Connor Degan. In the episode you'll learn about Connor's road to becoming the Town Clerk as well as some of his personal interests and very-fascinating background.

Hopkinton Police Share Home Security and Theft Prevention Tips Amid Ongoing Investigation into Multiple Home Burglaries

Amid an ongoing investigation into multiple home burglaries in the region, Chief Joseph Bennett and the Hopkinton Police Department would like to provide residents with home security and theft prevention tips.

The Hopkinton Police Department, in conjunction with the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office and the Massachusetts State Police, is currently investigating multiple home burglaries.

Breakneck Hill Rd
Glen Rd- From Lumber St (S) to Breakneck Hill (W)
Gibbon Rd

Dates are subject to change due to weather conditions.

8/28-9/1 - Adjust structures to grade and adjust sidewalk ramps.
8/30-9/5 - Excavate and install asphalt binder course in cul de sacs and intersections where the cold in place recycling equipment could not do.
9/6-9/8 - Install the top course of asphalt on the full length of each project.

The Hopkinton Community Preservation Committee is now accepting Project Funding Applications for Fiscal Year 2025

Please submit your application no later than October 12, 2023

Projects allowable under the CPA include the creation and preservation of open space, the preservation of historic sites, the creation and preservation of affordable housing and the creation and preservation of outdoor recreational facilities.
