In an email to parents , Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Landman announced that the Elmwood Principal Search Screening Committee has selected three candidates as Finalists to replace retiring Elmwood Principal Ilene Silver.
“I thank them for the time and care they invested in this process,” said Landman. “We had a pool of nearly fifty candidates, of whom nine were invited in for interviews. The Screening Committee moved four of these individuals forward for Central Office interviews. Following the Central Office interviews, we are now inviting three to come back as Finalists.”
In alphabetical order, the three Finalists who will be coming to Hopkinton for the public forum are:
David Ljungberg, M.Ed. ~ Currently Assistant Principal at the Elmwood and Hopkins Elementary Schools
Moira Smith Rogers, Ed.D. ~ Currently PreK – 6 Director of Curriculum and Instruction in the Falmouth Public Schools
Patricia A. Snow, MA. ~ Currently Principal of the Amherst Street Elementary School in Nashua, New Hampshire
On the evening of March 26th at 7PM, the School Committee will conduct Finalist interviews, followed by a public forum at the Elmwood School Cafeteria. Each finalist will be available for approximately 20-30 minutes.
Kim Pulnik, Human Resources Director for the Hopkinton Public Schools urges all parents and community members to attend the forum.
“We strongly urge you to participate, and seek your feedback,” said Pulnik.
Landman says that after the public forum is held, one or more candidates may be invited back for a visit to the Elmwood School,or a site visit in their district may take place.
“By April 12th, I will announce our choice for the new Principal of the Elmwood School,” said Landman.
