Hopkinton Girls Indoor Track defeats Westwood

The Hopkinton girls' indoor track & field team bear Westwood, 65-30 in their dual meet Friday night at Boston's Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center. The Hillers won all but two events. Junior Abby Burke won the 300m and placed second in both the shot put and the 55m. Senior Josie Hopkins won the 55m hurdles and the high jump, clearing 5' for the first time this season. Senior Elyse Srodawa won the mile and 2 mile. Sophomores Callie Owens and Isabel Walker picked up wins in the 55m and long jump, respectively. Senior Bridgid Cavanaugh placed second in both the 1000m and the mile. Junior Kaelyn Faber won the shot put. Seniors Aubrey Thomas, Amanda Gooley, Malia Grant, and junior Meaghan Burdulis teamed up for the 4x400m relay win. Hopkinton will compete in the MSTCA Freshman-Sophomore Championship, the Northeast Invite and the State D2 Relays over the next several weekends, before their final dual meet against Ashland on January 26, then all of the championship meets.
