Hopkinton Girls Track & Field defeats Dedham Thursday, 58-33

Hopkinton girls track & field team secured a win over Dedham in a dual meet at Brandeis University on Thursday, December 19 with a score of 58-33. Senior Josie Hopkins won the long jump and 55m hurdles and anchored the winning 4x400m relay. Senior Elyse Srodawa won the mile and junior Emma Prisco won the 300m. The Hillers swept three events--the 1000m, high jump and long jump. Senior Bridgid Cavanaugh, junior Meaghan Burdulis and sophomore Jillian Toran took 1-2-3 in the 1000m. Hopkins, sophomore Isabel Walker, and junior Abby Burke swept the long jump. Sophomores Addy Walls and Callie Owens, and freshman Clara Bransfield took the top three high jumps spots. Burke, Bransfield, and sophomore Addie Morrissey joined Hopkins in the winning 4x4. Other second place finishers included Amanda Gooley in the 600m, and sophomore Ella Brooks in shot put. Additional third places included Bransfield in the 55m, sophomore Kylie Rogers in hurdles, senior Malia Grant in the mile, freshman Siya Bonala in the shot put, and sophomore Avery Merrill in the 600m. The 2-0 Hillers face Holliston (also 2-0) at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center on Monday.
