Hiller Girls Track & Field, Baseball & Softball get Wins!

Girls Track & Field: (Contributed Info) – Hopkinton girls track & field team beat Westwood, 86-50 at Westwood on a blustery April day Wednesday evening. Senior Josie Hopkins won the 200m and placed second in 400m hurdles and the shot put. Junior Kaelyn Faber won both the shot put and discus. Sophomore Isabel Walker won both the 100m hurdles and triple jump. Sophomore Callie Owens won the 100m and anchored the winning 4x100m (with sophomores Kaelyn Geremia and Sophie Rasul, and senior Savannah Rivera). Rivera also won the javelin. Sophomore Bella Walkiewicz won the high jump and took third in the 400m hurdles.  Freshman Clara Bransfield won the long jump and senior Elyse Srodawa won the 2 mile. The Hillers winning 4x400m relay team was made up of the second and third place finishers from the 800m and the mile–Malia Grant, Meaghan Burdulis, Bridgid Cavanaugh and Chloe Tumbleton. Freshman Jane Hopkins picked up a pair of third places–100m hurdles and high jump. Sophomore Sophia Zanella placed second in javelin. Sophomore Ella Brooks took third in both discus and javelin. Sophomores Kylie Rogers and Julia Chatten took second and third in long jump/ Freshman Charlotte Mazzeo placed third in triple jump. Junior Emma Prisco took third in the 400m behind two strong Westwood competitors. 

For Westwood, sophomore Susannah Rockers won both the 400m hurdles and 800m. Junior Maeve Gavin won the 400 and placed second in the 200m. Junior Tea Pagnotti won the mile.

Baseball – After a loss on the road in Holliston to open the season on Tuesday (4/1), Hillers defeated Ashland in their Home opener 10 to 1 on Wednesday (4/2). View box score below!
