Oct. 19, 2023, Hopkinton, Mass. – Hopkinton Public Library Foundation (HPLF) is thrilled to announce the funding of a series of free, drop-in gaming events at Hopkinton Public Library geared to local Middle and High School students. Pre-teens and teens may play several systems including Nintendo Switch, XBox Series S, PlayStation 4, Oculus Quest 2, brought by One Up Games. The events will be held on the five early release dates for Hopkinton Middle and High School this academic year. The next event will be on Friday October 20th, from 1-4 p.m. The first event, held on Friday September 15, 2023, brought over 80 young adults to the library to game and have fun! In 2024, the events will be on Fridays, January 26, March 15, and May 10, also from 1-4 p.m. The events are recommended for ages 9 and up, and no registration is needed.
