Hiring Salary: $22.26 – $27.49 Hourly, depending on qualifications

The Administrative Assistant, Senior Services, provides skilled administrative and clerical work providing
various types of support to the daily operations of Hopkinton’s thriving Senior Center. The Administrative
Assistant is required to use tact, discretion and flexibility around day to day responsibilities and performs
moderately complex administrative duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s Degree and two to three years of experience in an office setting in an administrative or office
management capacity; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
● Ability to communicate effectively in writing with various audiences including public officials and
the general public.
● Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
● Customer service skills.
● Experience with basic accounting functions to include entering of invoices, recording and
reconciling cash receipts, and preparing deposits.
● Proficiency in technology including Google Docs, Google Sheets, and online research. Experience
with Publisher preferred.
● Knowledge of public administration policies and practices particularly related to elder affairs,
and/or experience working with the Senior population Preferred.
Licensing/Certifications:
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Certificate (or ability to certify within three (3) months from start date).
