Job Posting: Part Time Head Chef

The Town of Hopkinton is seeking a PT (up to 19 hours/week) Head Chef for the Senior Center. The

Under the general supervision of the Senior Center Director, this position requires manual and
semi-skilled work related to food preparation and kitchen maintenance in the Senior Center. Duties
include design and development of daily and special event menus, and maintain quality, sanitation and
safety standards for all areas under their control. The Head Chef will prepare and serve meals with
exceptional customer service to seniors and others participating in the department’s meal program,
monitor supplies, accept deliveries and ensure supplies are stored appropriately within required
guidelines. This position also supervises kitchen operations and food service workers. All other related
work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must meet the following to be considered qualified for this position:
● Must be able to operate kitchen equipment
● Ability to follow written or verbal instructions
● Moderate physical effort required
● Frequently required to move/transport up to 30 lbs.
Education, Training and Experience
Equivalent to High School diploma and one year experience in cafeteria or kitchen work, experience with
seniors preferred or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licensing/Certification: ServSafe, CPR and Allergy Awareness Certifications.
Hourly Salary Range: $17.00 – $22.50
