Today Marty Lamb, candidate for State Representative in the Eighth Middlesex District, covering Holliston, Hopkinton, Westborough and Southborough, received the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business. NFIB is the nation’s and the state’s leading small business advocacy organization.
“Marty Lamb is the candidate in this race with the best grasp on small business issues and he promises to fight for changes that will help our state’s job creators – small businesses – grow jobs,” NFIB/Massachusetts State Director Bill Vernon said today. “We need to elect Marty Lamb to improve the state’s business climate and encourage small businesses to grow and create jobs that will allow our state’s citizens to enjoy a prosperous economy.”
“Marty Lamb has promised to fight to reduce the tax and regulatory burdens which so often unnecessarily suppresses economic growth,” Vernon continued. “Marty’s experience gives him first hand knowledge of the issues faced by Main Street business owners every day and how government makes those issues more difficult to resolve.”
In accepting the endorsement, Lamb said, “I am committed to doing everything I can on Beacon Hill to promote and protect the small business owners’ right to own, operate and grow their businesses for the benefit of their family, their neighborhood and community, and most importantly their hard-working employees. Small businesses are not looking for a hand out from government. They want certainty and government to get off their backs.
“NFIB is proud to endorse Marty Lamb for State Representative for Holliston, Hopkinton, Southborough, and Westborough,” Vernon concluded.
