Shubhada Wavikar will present a lecture on yoga at 7 pm on Wednesday, August 17 at the Senior Center. Shuba will talk about the origin, types and branches of yoga, the mind – body – soul connection in yoga, and some research supporting yoga’s health benefits. She will briefly touch upon postures, some breathing techniques, hand gestures, and meditation and mindfulness.
