Enter Stage Left Theater presents Rumors, playwright Neil Simon’s fast-paced, situational comedy. Performances are at the Delbridge Family Performance Center at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts (98 Hayden Rowe Street): October 14–16 & 21–23. Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for students and seniors; $20 general admission and may be purchased at the door or online at HopArtsCenter.org.
Set in a house in upstate New York, Rumors is produced by Hopkinton’s Enter Stage Left Theater (ESL) and features a cast of ten actors from Hopkinton and surrounding towns. According to director, Brian Kelly, “Rumors is a laugh-a- minute situational comedy and probably one of the best farces ever written.” The show begins as the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. He’s upstairs with a flesh wound, his wife and the servants are mysteriously gone and, worst of all, nobody has prepared dinner. With the guests arriving any minute, it’s time to figure out what happened and why.
