Easter Egg Hunt Canceled

Due to predicted inclement weather, The Parks and Recreation’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be canceled for Saturday, 4-23-11.

The events sponsor, Hopkinton Drug Store, invites you to meet the Easter Bunny at their store on Main Street.

It starts at 11:00 AM and all the treats will be given to those who attend.

State of the Town

Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the annual State of the Town presentation will take place on Tuesday, April 26, at the First Congregational Church, 126 East Main Street in Hopkinton.

Beginning with coffee and conversation at 7:30AM, followed by a presentation at 8AM, this program will prove to be an informative lead up to Hopkinton's Annual Town Meeting set to convene on May 2, 2011 at 7PM. If you are interested in the state of Hopkinton's fiscal affairs, you won't want to miss this event.

“Drive thru Prayer” - Relay for Life

Everyone has been touched by cancer, either through their own personal battle or through someone they love. There will be a fund raiser “Drive-thru Prayer” on Saturday, April 30th for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at 249 Wood St. Hopkinton. You will be able to drive through the parking area and receive a prayer for a loved one affected by cancer.

St. Paul's and Christ Church to Hold Joint Holy Week Services

As a means of uniting together in fellowship and faith, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hopkinton and Christ Episcopal Church in Medway will be conducting joint services during Holy Week. All are welcome to attend these reflective and spiritual services, which will take place at the following times and locations:

Hopkinton Garden Club and Marathon Quilters Host "Quilts in Bloom"

On Tuesday, April 12, 2011, the Hopkinton Garden Club and the Marathon Quilt Guild partnered together to bring a wonderful program to the community. Robin Murphy joined the two groups at the First Congregational Church to present her 'Quilts in Bloom' program. More than sixty members of the surrounding community were in attendance. Ms. Murphy is both an expert quilter and acclaimed floral designer. The program combined both skills - starting with a quilted piece as inspiration for building a fresh floral arrangement. Ms.
