EMC global marathon team raising money for Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center

EMC Corporation employees, partners and customers from around the world are training together to conquer the Boston Marathon and raise money for the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center in Hopkinton, MA. This year’s EMC Run As One team hails from four continents, eight countries and 11 U.S. states.

Middle School Hockey Champions

Congratulations to the Hopkinton Middle School Hockey team on their second straight divisional championship! The team posted a 3-1 victory over King Philip at the Foxboro Sports Center. The Hillers rattled off nine straight win to finish out the season.

The team was coached by Leo Squatrito and Eric Carty. Lynn McCluskey served as the team Manager. The Hillers were lead by 8th graders #42 Brandon Carty, #40 Tim Greizer, # 31 TJ Fujiyoshi, # 32 Brendan O’Leary, #43 Nick Pomeroy and #25 Dominic Yannino.

Changes to Bus Fee Payments

A number of important procedural changes have been made to the bus fee payment and application process for the 2011-2012 school year. According to an email to parents from the Hopkinton Public Schools, bus routes and stops will be assigned immediately after the June 17th deadline for payment.

If payments are received (or postmarked) by Friday, June 17, 2011, the cost for a bus pass for the 2011-2012 school-year is $210 per student with a family cap of $420.

Planning Board Agenda for April 11th

A possible 16-unit residential development at 149 Hayden Rowe, a discussion of the Maillet Woods condominium project and the continued public hearing for the Southwest Village at Legacy Farms, a 240-unit apartment complex off Legacy Farms Road South are all on the agenda for the Planning Board's next scheduled meeting on Monday, April 11th, beginning at 7:30PM at Town Hall in Room 211.

Center School Public Forum Rescheduled

BOARD OF SELECTMEN PUBLIC FORUM - April 27, 2011

The Board of Selectmen in conjunction with the School Committee will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Hopkinton Senior Center’s main meeting room at 7PM. The Boards will provide the community a forum to voice opinions and share ideas on how to best move forward with the Center School. Comments or suggestions can be submitted in advance to selectmen@hopkinton.org. If you have any questions, please call the Selectmen’s Office at 508-497-9700.
