Congratulations to Eve Weatherhead and Sidhi Dhanda, winners of the 2024 HCAM Broadcasting & Communications Scholarships

Congratulations to Eve Weatherhead and Sidhi Dhanda who were both recipients of an HCAM Broadcasting and Communications Scholarship for 2024. Eve will be attending the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College and study Television & Digital Media Productions. Sidhi will be attending Harvard University and study Government and Economics.

Margaret M. Pomeroy, 81

Margaret M. Pomeroy, 81, died Monday, June 10, 2024 at UMass Medical Center Worcester, after a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Lawrence Pomeroy, who died in 2021. She was the daughter of the late Emmet and Anastasia (Kelly) Smith. She was a longtime resident of Hopkinton and served as a eucharistic minister at St. John's Parish. She worked as a realtor.

She is survived by her son William, his wife Melissa and her granddaughters Anastasia and Natalie, all of Millbury. She also leaves her sister Dorothy Steves of Franklin.

Hopkinton Hillers spring 2023-2024 season comes to an end after incredible playoff runs

The Hopkinton Hillers Baseball 2023-2024 playoff run came to an end on Sunday June 9th in Westfield as the #6 seeded Hillers fell to #3 Westfield 7 to 2. The Hiller Baseball team completes their incredible season with 19 wins and 5 losses.

The 23-24 spring season was another very memorable season of Hiller sports which featured state tournament appearances by 5 of the 6 eligible teams and a tremendous showing in state competitions by Boys & Girls Track and Field.

"Sarah (Lothrop) Duckett died Friday, June 7 at Metrowest Medical Center, Framingham. She was the wife of the late Frank Duckett, who died in November 2023. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Margaret (Lotspeich) Lothrop. She was a longtime resident of Hopkinton, where she raised her three children."

Treasurer Goldberg and Good Morning America Encourage Fans to Take Their Shot with Unclaimed Property at Game One of the NBA Finals

During last night’s NBA Finals game between the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks, State Treasurer Deboarh B. Goldberg, the Massachusetts Unclaimed Property Division, and the Texas Unclaimed Property Division helped fans at TD Garden check their names in the states’ unclaimed property databases. This morning, Good Morning America featured a segment highlighting unclaimed property at last night’s game.

TVL: Westwood, Hopkinton and Norwood Baseball will all compete in MIAA State Tournament Division 2 Round of 8!

Three of the 8 teams left in the MIAA Division 2 Baseball State tournament bracket are TVL Large teams! On Tuesday (6/4) #10 seeded Norwood captured a Round of 16 upset 1 to 0 win over #7 Somerset-Berkley, on Wednesday (6/5), #6 seeded Hopkinton took down #11 Dartmouth 2 to 0 and #9 Westwood got the upset road-win over #8 Algonquin, 6 to 3.
