"I am pleased to announce that both our boys and girls basketball teams have advanced again to the state semi-final round of the MIAA basketball tournament," said Principal Alyson Geary in an email to parents. "Both teams fought extremely hard for their wins last night at UMass Boston and we are so proud of our players, as well as our student fans that supported our teams in a positive and appropriate way."
Both semi-final games will be at the TD Garden in Boston. The girls will play on Monday, March 14th at 6pm and the boys will play on Tuesday, March 15th at 6pm. Tickets for these games will be $13 for students and adults at the Garden, but tickets can be purchased in advance for $8 from the high school main office prior to the games (for both adults and students). Tickets can be purchased with cash or check, but checks are preferred. All checks for tickets must be made out to TD Garden, not to Hopkinton High School.
To ensure the safety of students, student fan buses for both the girls and boys games will be available. The fan buses will cost $5, per student, per game (cash or a check made out to Hopkinton Athletics). Students must turn in a signed permission slip and $5 by Monday at 11am for the girls’ game and Tuesday at 9am for the boys’ game. The buses will leave the high school at 3:30 pm and return around 9pm for each game. The same rules apply for these fan buses as for the previous games. Geary says she hopes that parents will either drive students into the games or encourage them to ride the bus to ensure that all students arrive safely.
"Parking in Boston can be difficult to find and very expensive," said Geary, "so students should keep this in mind when deciding whether to drive to the game."

Once again, the $5 for the fan bus can be in cash or check made out to Hopkinton Athletics, the $8 for the ticket(s) should be a check made out to TD Garden.
"We look forward to seeing many of you at the Garden on Monday and Tuesday to support our teams," said Geary. "If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Go Hillers!"
