As of Sunday (3/11) morning, 99.1% of Hopkinton households have power. Eversource has committed to having ten crews in Hopkinton today to continue restoration efforts. If you are still without power, please contact eversource here or by calling them at 1-800-592-2000 to confirm they are aware you are without power.
If you have an elderly neighbor, or know of somebody in the community that may need help - give them a call. Knock on their door. Check in with them. Make sure they’re ok. Be kind. Help us spread this information. If somebody needs emergency services - call 911.
The Hopkinton Senior Center at 28 Mayhew St. will open today from 11:30AM until at least 4PM as a warming center open to all residents. You can stop by to charge a device, check e-mail, or just sit in a nice warm place! They will have power outlet available but please bring your specific power charger for your device.
Since the beginning of this storm, Hopkinton has received reports of over 175 downed trees, limbs, or wires. DPW will continue recovery efforts today, and many of these have already been addressed and cleared. At this time, there are no full road closures in town. In terms of power outages, downed trees and wires, and debris, this storm has had a hurricane level impact.
Hopkinton is under a new Winter Storm Watch beginning Monday 3/12 at 11pm until Tuesday 3/13 6pm. It’s too early to report on the impacts of this upcoming storm with certainty, but we will continue to monitor the path and potential impacts. We are planning for a potential of 6-15 additional inches of wet snow.
