Everyone has been touched by cancer, either through their own personal battle or through someone they love. There will be a fund raiser “Drive-thru Prayer” on Saturday, April 30th for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at 249 Wood St. Hopkinton. You will be able to drive through the parking area and receive a prayer for a loved one affected by cancer. The prayers will be offered by a team member from Woodville Baptist Church. You will also be invited to make a donation that goes 100% to the American Cancer Society.
Members from the church put together a relay team, for the Relay for Life to be held at Hopkinton High May 20th to 21st. Team “Buzz” to honor Paul “Buzzy” Buswell, a long time Hopkinton resident and church member, lost his battle with liver cancer last fall.
“We have an opportunity to help fight the battle on two fronts.” states Team Captain Jenna Stewart. “The first front is through fund raising for the American Cancer Society and second front through prayer for all those in the battle.”
The prayers do not end in the parking lot. The list of those survivors, those still fighting and those that have lost the battle that are gathered at the “Drive thru Prayer” will go with Team Buzz to the Relay. We are all one big team in the fight to a cure.
Please join the Drive thru Prayer for the American Cancer Society April 30th.
