Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) is pleased to be the recipient of a number of arts-related grants and support through the Mass Cultural Council. HCA is a regional non-profit visual and performing arts center located at 98 Hayden Rowe St in Hopkinton.
The Massachusetts Cultural Council's mission is to elevate the rich cultural life in Massachusetts. They partner with communities across the Commonwealth to expand access, improve education, promote diversity, and encourage excellence in the arts, humanities, and sciences. Through their efforts, they make our state a better place to live, work, and visit for everyone.
HCA wishes to acknowledge the following local cultural councils for their support:
Milford, Southborough and Holliston LCCs have granted funding aimed at providing dementia-friendly programming to adults. Through their support, three free programs will be scheduled in 2024 involving visual arts, music and theater.
Ashland LCC renewed its support of an Ashland "town day" concert happening this summer. The summer concert series has grown each year, with a talented roster of diverse musicians providing outstanding entertainment enjoyed by hundreds of residents across several communities.
Hopkinton LCC provided funding that will support Land Acknowledgement and Nipmuc Nation program to occur in Fall of 2024.

HCA also received a matching grant of 83k from Mass Cultural facilities fund to replace their lighting system with new state of the art LED lights. After a successful “light us up” capital campaign to raise the matching funds, HCA expects to install the new lighting system this Spring. HCA is also extremely grateful to the Hopkinton Marathon Fund Committee for generously allocating funds to purchase a new light board.
HCA is proud to be part of the Mass Cultural Investment Portfolio. This program provides general operating grants to nonprofit organizations that enrich Massachusetts’ cultural life. The Portfolio works to strengthen a cultural sector that generates $1.2 billion in economic activity, creates thousands of jobs, and delivers programs to more than 20 million people a year. This is a 5-year grant, and the HCA is honored to be a recipient along with so many prestigious organizations in Massachusetts, including the Worcester Art Museum. Boston Ballet and the Discovery Museum.
HCA is a member of the Card to Culture program. The program makes cultural programming accessible to low-income and working families through the EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare programs for free or at steeply discounted rates.
