Rev. Mary Rosendale Named Vicar at St. Paul’s

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hopkinton is pleased to announce that Reverend Mary Rosendale has been named Vicar at St. Paul’s. Since September 1, 2021, Rev. Rosendale has served as Priest-in-Charge for both St. Paul’s and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Westboro. The two churches will continue their unique collaboration to share a priest, but Rev. Rosendale will now be the Rector at St. Stephen’s and Vicar at St. Paul’s. Rev. Rosendale was Interim Priest at St. Stephen’s prior to becoming Priest-in-Charge.

““My responsibilities and commitments to St. Paul’s and the collaboration have not changed,” Rev. Rosendale stated. “St. Stephen’s has called me to be their Rector, and the Episcopal Church states a priest cannot be rector in two dioceses at the same time. Therefore, I’m taking on the title as Vicar at St. Paul’s. I’m looking forward to serving both churches for many, many more years.”

“Rev. Rosendale and our collaboration with St. Stephen’s have been wonderful additions to our ministry at St. Paul’s,” added Sue Ramsley, senior warden at St. Paul’s. “We look forward to working together, being God’s love in our world.”

About the Collaboration

The collaboration between St. Paul’s and St. Stephen’s is unique because it brings together churches from two different dioceses -- St. Paul’s is with the Diocese of Massachusetts, and St. Stephen’s is with the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts. The collaboration allows the churches to share resources, fellowship, and worship.
