Hopkinton girls indoor track and field team won their season opener Friday night at Boston's Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center with a 70-21 win over Norwood. Senior captain Josie Hopkins won the 55m hurdles and high jump and placed second in the shot put. Sophomore Addie Morrissey won the 55m and placed third in long jump. Junior Chloe Tumbleton won the 1000m and ran a leg on the winning 4x400m relay along with senior Malia Grant, who also placed second in the mile, senior captain Bridgid Cavanaugh who also placed third in the 1000m, and junior Meaghan Burdulis. Other event winners included junior Emma Prisco in the 300m, sophomore Isabel Walker in the long jump, junior Kaelyn Faber in the shot put and sophomore Wafiya Syeda in the 2 mile.
