The Savvy Caregiver

Wednesday, October 18 from 9:30 – 11:30 (6 weeks – 10/18 and 25, 11/1, 8, 15 and 29)
The Savvy Caregiver program is a free six-week training held at the Hopkinton Senior Center, 28 Mayhew Street, Hopkinton. The program is geared for informal caregivers of those with moderate Alzheimer’s or related dementias living at home or planning to return home. It is facilitated by trained practitioners. Most people put into the caregiver role are not prepared or know what to expect. Through this program you will learn how to develop strategies to best assist and provide for both the caregiver and the ones being cared for. The Savvy Caregiver program originated from the Minnesota Family Workshop (MFW) whose goal was to improve the quality of life for those affected. This program is evidence based successful. A minimum of 8 participants is needed to offer the program and registration is limited to 12 participants. Please contact the Hopkinton Senior Center to register or if you have further questions (508-497-9730).
