Veterans Inc. to Host Biennial Gala Military Ball

Fundraiser benefits nonprofit’s efforts to help veterans and their families

In celebration of 28 years of serving veterans in need and their families, Veterans Inc. will host their biennial Gala Military Ball on Saturday, November 3, 2018, in the Grand Hall at the Historic Armory in Worcester, Massachusetts. The event will honor veterans and recognize those who have made a critical difference in the lives of veterans and their family members.

Guests will enjoy a memorable evening of fine dining, catered by Peppers Artful Events; entertainment will include a performance of World War II-era classics by The Victory Belles from the National WWII Museum in New Orleans, special guest Virgil Gibson, former lead singer of the world famous Platters, along with big band music provided by Dan Gabel and the Abeltones as well as a silent auction and a tribute to our veterans. Emcees are Talk of the Commonwealth’s Hank Stoltz and Boston 25’s Vanessa Welch.

All proceeds will support the efforts of Veterans Inc, to prevent and end homelessness among veterans, ensuring that they may continue to be able to be there for any veteran or veteran family who needs assistance. Since 1990, Veterans Inc. has served over 80,000 veterans and their family members. Another 5,000 veterans and their family members will seek the non profit organization’s help this year alone.

“Our Gala Military Ball is a major fundraising event that has become a tradition for our organization,” said President and CEO Vincent J. Perrone, Lt. Colonel, USAF (retired). “It is impressive to see how individuals and organizations come together to make this event a success, and the result is that we are able to continue to fund our mission of helping veterans and their families.”

Money raised at the gala will help Veterans Inc. to address immediate and long-term needs of veterans, assisting with food, transportation, and clothing, and provide housing, counseling, alcohol and drug treatment, employment and training, specialized services for Post 9/11 veterans, and a women and children’s program.

Major sponsors of the event are The Home Depot, The TJX Companies, Inc., Central Massachusetts Credit Unions, and Dunkin Donuts
