Summer is almost here and our Summer Fun in the Arts programing for children and teens, rising grades K-12, is selling out fast!
We have scheduled 8-weeks of creative classes in Ceramics, Dance, Movie-Making, Music, Theater, and Visual Art. Plus, students can expect to spend lots of time outdoors enjoying the fresh air and time with friends. In addition, student favorites, such as Saturday Morning Dance and Rock Band, and ESL Summer Stock Jr., will be back this summer. (Learn more at the bottom of this email!)
On the May 17th edition of HCAM News at 6:30pm, the Trail Management committee hosted a trail explorers event with the help of the Hopkinton library, the latest Hiller sports report, but first the Hopkinton town election took place this past Monday.

Week 6 of the 2022-2023 Spring sports season featured epic battles amongst TVL rivals.
During the week, Hiller Girls Lacrosse hosted Medway and Medfield, Hiller Baseball and Softball hosted Dover-Sherborn, and Boys Lacrosse picked up a huge win versus Dover-Sherborn.

Hopkinton Town Clerk, Connor Degan revealed the unofficial 2023 Hopkinton Town election results Monday Night. You can view the HCAM election results show in the video below.
The only contested race in this years town election was 2 available three-year seats on the School Committee. 3 Candidates ran for the 2 seats and the results were as follows: Adam Munroe (D) - 998 Votes, Susan Stephenson (D) - 934 Votes and Ashley Fogg (U) - 616 Votes.

The Hopkinton Public Schools Music Department has had a very busy month so far. On Saturday, May 6, twenty-three students from Hopkinton Middle School and High School participated in the Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association (MICCA) Solo and Ensemble Festival held at Concord Carlisle Regional High School. The Jazz Ensemble then performed on Sunday, May 7th at the Hatch Shell in Boston for the Massachusetts Association of Jazz Educators (MAJE) Gold Medal Showcase.
As the chair of Hopkinton Youth Commission (HYC), I am excited to formally invite you to an event we are hosting at 7pm on May 25th at the Hopkinton Center for Arts to increase awareness about the opportunities and the benefits of volunteering in Hopkinton. The event is called giving back - getting better: volunteerism for mental health. Volunteerism is recognized as a not-so-secret strategy to experience joy and wellness.
Hopkinton Town Election takes place on Monday, May 15th at Hopkinton Middle School.
Polls are open from 7am until 8pm.
