Sheriff Koutoujian, Chief O’Hara discuss cultivating change & implementing reform at the 2024 Public Safety Summit

Middlesex (MA) Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian and Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara recently served as featured presenters at the 2024 Public Safety Summit at Harvard University.

The leadership and education program for senior level law enforcement leaders including police chiefs, commissioners and sheriffs from across the country was held April 5-7 in Cambridge, Mass.

Hopkinton Public Library Awarded $6,000 State Grant to Preserve Local History Collection

Library Director Nanci Hill is pleased to announce that the Hopkinton Public Library has been awarded $6,000 through a Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners’ (MBLC) Preservation Assessment Grant.

The MBLC's Preservation Assessment Grant Program provides funding for libraries to preserve and make accessible irreplaceable local records that are important to a community's history.

Hopkinton Annual (and Special) Town Meeting 2024

A reminder that Hopkinton Annual Town Meeting 2024 will commence Monday May 6, 2024 7:00 PM, and may run for consecutive nights if needed. Special Town Meeting will commence Tuesday May 7, 2024 7:00 PM, and once Special Town Meeting ends, Annual Town Meeting will reconvene (if it was not completed Monday night).

Annual Town Meeting 2024 and Special Town Meeting 2024 will be held at the Hopkinton Middle School Auditorium, 88 Hayden Rowe. The Middle School Auditorium is accessible.

Reminder: Annual Town Meeting Starts Monday, May 6th, Town Election on Monday, May 20th!

Hopkinton Annual Town Meeting will start on Monday May 6th, 7pm at Hopkinton Middle School.

Annual Town Meeting will occur 7pm during the evenings of Monday, May 6th, Tuesday May 7th, Wednesday May 8th or until the warrant is concluded. This year there is 52 articles on the Town Meeting warrant. You can view the warrant in the attachments below.

Hopkinton Interim Town Manager Recommits to 2020 Hopkinton Pledge, Principles and Actions on Systemic Racism

Interim Town Manager Elaine C. Lazarus, on behalf of Hopkinton Town employees, is recommitting to the Town of Hopkinton's 2020 pledge regarding systemic racism. The Pledge affirmed Hopkinton’s commitment to address systemic racism, social injustice and inequity in governance and the provision of services to Hopkinton residences and businesses. In a message to Town employees in 2020, Town Manager Norman Khumalo highlighted the Pledge adopted by the Select Board and outlined how employees can fulfill this responsibility through action.
