Hopkinton Hillers Fall 2024 Preview, Special Edition of HCAM Sports Talk airs Friday Aug, 30th at 7pm!

Our 177th edition of HCAM Sports Talk airs at a special time on Friday, August 30th at 7pm. In the episode, we preview some of the Hiller Fall Varsity teams who start their season next week. Our previews in this episode include; Girls Soccer, Football, Field Hockey and Girls Volleyball.

Tune in for Friday nights special edition and catch HCAM Sports Talk every Wednesday at 5:30pm on HCAM-TV (Comcast: Channel 8, Verizon Channel 30) or at our YouTube page. The program will also re-air at other times and days throughout the week!

Rev. Mary Rosendale Named Vicar at St. Paul’s

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hopkinton is pleased to announce that Reverend Mary Rosendale has been named Vicar at St. Paul’s. Since September 1, 2021, Rev. Rosendale has served as Priest-in-Charge for both St. Paul’s and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Westboro. The two churches will continue their unique collaboration to share a priest, but Rev. Rosendale will now be the Rector at St. Stephen’s and Vicar at St. Paul’s. Rev. Rosendale was Interim Priest at St. Stephen’s prior to becoming Priest-in-Charge.

Phillip Gradie, 85

Phillip Gradie, 85, passed away at home on August 28, 2024, surrounded by his wife and daughters. He was the husband of Grace (Giardana) Gradie, to whom he was married for 61 years.

Phillip was born on November 5, 1938 to Joseph V. and Lois (O’Hanlon) Gradie in Arlington, MA. He grew up with four siblings. After graduating from Arlington High School, Phillip enlisted in the United States Air Force.

Massachusetts Association of Women in Law Enforcement Members Present Colors at Red Sox Game on Aug. 26

The Executive Board of the Massachusetts Association of Women in Law Enforcement (MAWLE) is pleased to share that several members represented women in law enforcement at the Boston Red Sox Women’s Celebration at Fenway Park on Monday, Aug. 26. This was the second all-female Honor Guard in Red Sox history.

Hiller Field Hockey features a lot of new faces mixed in with some great returning talent this season. Last year the Hillers finished with 13 wins, 5 losses and 2 ties overall. The Hillers picked up a 2-0 D2 state tournament win over a very good Middleboro team in the round of 32 before falling to a tough Doherty team in the Round of 16. The Hiller captains this season include: Zoe Adams, Ella Fowler, Maddie Godfroy and Emily Watson.

Hopkinton Hillers Head Coach, Ally Valencia enters her 3rd season at the helm and looks forward to working with this years group.
