Hopkinton Center for the Arts: Week-Long Movie Making Programs Summer Spotlight!

HCA Summer Movie Making programs!

In this introduction to movie making, each 5-day workshop is comprised of making movie trailers and sketches. For beginner and intermediate-level movie makers and actors, these programs will focus on what goes into making a movie while getting hands-on experience being both in front of and behind the cameras. At the end of the summer, families are invited to a screening of all the work done by the students, as well as receiving links to privately access the work online.

We are thrilled to announce a special charity plate in support of the 26.2 Foundation. We are currently taking pre-orders, here’s what you need to know.

The standard $60 registration and renewal fees applies.

The special charity plate is $40, with $28 of the purchase price going to the 26.2 Foundation. The remaining $12 is a one-time-only cost to cover manufacturing expenses.

The Friends of the Hopkinton Seniors, Inc. will be holding their Annual Summer Vegetable, Flower and Book Fundraiser on Saturday, May 18th from 9:00am- 1:00pm at the Hopkinton Senior Center located at 28 Mayhew Drive, Hopkinton MA.

We are offering summertime favorites such as heirloom tomatoes and vegetables, essential pollinator flowers, herbs and container varieties grown by members of the center’s greenhouse. We will also have a variety books and donated garden accessories and perennials, all available for sale at wallet friendly prices.

Hopkinton Center for the Arts: Arts in Bloom 2024

Live blooms on display May 11–16

The exhibition ends May 23

At a reception held on May 11th, HCA announced the first, second, and third-place winners, as well as three honorable mentions, as selected by this year's juror, Claudia Fiks. Congratulations to all the artists who participated in this year's exhibition!

Visitors are encouraged to view the blooms on display created by members of the Garden Club now through approximately May 16th.

Hopkinton Center for the Arts is a 2024 Blue Star Museum

Hopkinton Center for the Arts announced it will join museums nationwide in the Blue Star Museums initiative, a program that provides free admission to currently serving U.S. military personnel and their families this summer. The 2024 program will begin on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 18, 2024, and end on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024. Learn more and find the list of participating museums at arts.gov/BlueStarMuseums.
