Out On The Town: Danielle Cook

Danielle Cook, Hopkinton’s newly promoted Reference and Technology Supervisor, calls her decision to become a librarian a “split second decision.”

It began when she came across a job posting for an archivist position at a nearby university. Cook could envision herself enjoying that line of work for the rest of her life.

HCAM Intern-Reporter, Sidhi Dhanda is working with the HCAM team this summer and producing a show called "Out on the Town". The show focuses on helping the community getting to know their local town government officials and the folks who make Hopkinton the great community it is.

In the latest episode, Sidhi catches up with Danielle Cook of the Hopkinton Public Library. In the episode you'll learn about Danielle's path to becoming the Reference and Technology Supervisor as well as some of her personal interests and very-fascinating background.

-The Select Board confirmed the Town Manager’s appointment of Poonam Rijhsinghani, Assistant Town Accountant. (5-0)
and
-The Select Board voted to conditionally offer Noah Buentello a position as a Police Officer for the Town of Hopkinton subject to the successful completion of Academy training. (5-0)

Roadwork Notice: August 8th through 11th 2023

Roadwork is scheduled to begin on the following streets. Work will consist of lowering & plating structures, cold in place recycling (CIR), adjusting structures to grade, paving 1 ½” asphalt surface course with mono-berm & adjusting driveway aprons.

Breakneck Hill Rd - 8/9
Glen Rd- From Lumber St (S) to Breakneck Hill (W) - 8/9
Gibbon Rd - 8/11

Dates are subject to change due to weather conditions.

Work hours will be approximately 7a-5p.

The Hopkinton Fire Department, in collaboration with a generous grant awarded by FM Global, is proud to offer the free installation of smoke alarms to Hopkinton residents in need. Per the National Fire Protection Association “Smoke alarms that are properly installed and maintained play a vital role in reducing fire deaths and injuries.
